In 2004, Minnie and three of her sisters, Molly, Emily and Galya Pwerle began painting together.

Minnie Pwerle was born around 1910 in the Utopia area. Sadly she recently passed away on the 18th march 2006. The sisters range in age from 70-90 and have had little exposure to western culture. Their language is Anmatyerre and Alyawarre.

The collaborative pieces they have been producing are explosively colourful and energetic. At the same time, the four artists interreact in a surprisingly cohesive fashion. Although each woman paints the same dreaming, ""Awleye Atnwengerrp"" each has her own unique, recognisable style and each is developing and evolving into a major talent. "
