Linda Ngitjanka
Linda was born in 1935 at Warapuya, north of Browns Bore, west of Kintore. Her language is Pintupi and her region is North West of Papunya. Her parents passed away when she was a little girl and she was sent to Haasts Bluff mission where she grew up and married Katappana Alan TjJapanagka.She has severe scarring from Trachoma, but her vibrant sense of colour is evident in her paintings of the mountains and the bush raisins of her home country Akipi. She first painted at Ikuntji Womens Centre in 1996 and has been represented in several exhibitions throughout Australia since
