Naminapu Maymuru-White Naminapu Maymura-White had her third major prize win in the 2005 Telstra Awards. She was born in 1952. Her homeland is Djarrakpiand is part of the Mangalil Clan. The "Milky Way" paintings on barks and hollow logs represent the cycle of the Manggalili clan spirit, as part of the law she learnt over her long apprenticeship with her fathers. |
