Shorty Jangala Robertson Shorty Jangala Robertson was born at Jilla Well north of Yuendudmui, in 1930. His language is Walpiri and his Dreamings are water, Acacia, Emu and Flying ant. He lived a nomadic hunter-gatherer lifestyle with his family. He has only recenlty started to paint and his work is individual, vigorous and fresh. He had his first solo exhibition in 2003 and was greeted with great acclaim. He lives and works in Yuendamu.  |
